(Please read the entire ad and I ask that you only contact me if you are truly serious. Excellent, approved home a must. We are downsizing, which is the only reason we are even considering letting him go.)
For your consideration, we are offering for sale:
Echo is a 15 year old dually registered Appaloosa gelding. He is healthy, sound, (mild stiffness on hind right when he first warms up due to a previous injury), UTD on everything. Has impeccable ground manners and loves to be loved. He is on a Prime Hemp diet which has done wonders for him. Echo is a very versatile fellow that does well both in the ring and out on the trails. He is one of my best trail horses (will go with a bosal/bitless bridle) and doesn't mind taking the lead, will go in a group or on his own. He is well schooled over fences and jumps courses up to 2'9" and will do his changes when asked correctly. I use him in our riding school for advanced beginners/intermediate level riders and up. He has had a tonne of show experience, always in the ribbons, is used in our school programs, trail rides and in our riding camps. He will make an excellent trail partner for a junior or adult rider, a good school horse for intermediate riders and up, and a great partner in the show ring. He is shod all the way around, wears faster then he grows if he's in work. He will do best with someone that will ride him consistently.
Asking $3500 firm
Tack and blankets can go with him for an extra $1000
Serious inquiries only please, I'd be happy to answer any questions that are not answered in the ad.
SOLD
Duke is a 13 year old 15 hh. He is a Spotted Rocky Mountain horse. Rides Western although he hasn’t had a lot of ring work, he is an incredible Trail Horse that will go though anything. He has absolutely no health or soundness issues and is up to date on farrier, worming etc. Duke is super with the farrier, goes barefoot, and loads well. Duke does not enjoy being locked up in the barn so best scenario for him is full turnout with access to the barn/shelter. He is Good with other horses and has no vices. Has been to natural horsemanship clinics, though will need a refresher due to sitting for a while. The ideal new partner will have a firm but gentle hand and love the thrill of riding the trails with a trusty partner that’ll go alone or lead a group. Excellent, educated, loving horsey home is a MUST!
SOLD
Offering for sale, 15.1hh 6 year year old Medicine hat paint mare. Dam, Miss Dial It, Sire, Crimson Santana. Dam was registered, sire was not, so she is not registered. She is a unique case as she only has one eye, but this doesn't hinder her in any way. She is suitable for an intermediate level rider and up, very talented over fences, brave, great scope, awesome knees, very willing to learn, but I would still consider her green. Looking for her forever home with someone that has the time to put the hours into her training and show career. She will excel in the hunter/jumper or eventing ring with the right person. Her current rider has lost interest. She has had her first show under her belt and did excellent. Jumping up to 2'9".
SOLD
Beautiful pinto pony mare, 13hh, 8 years old. Was started under saddle last summer, going w/t/c started over trotting poles. Has two shows under her belt and did wonderful. Used for lead line and been in several parades with not a care in the world. She still requires more training and has had the winter off with all this crazy weather. Not suitable for new beginners but with more under saddle hrs will make a great kids pony. Healthy, sound and utd on everything.
SOLD
Nugget is a 15hh beautiful Palomino gelding, 16 years old, has had about a 4 year vacation off work, had a 3 month refresher last fall, should be ready to go back to work easily with an experienced rider. Has come back to work great, healthy, sound and utd on everything. Has had previous training as a barrel horse with his recent training being under english tack. He loves to jump, and needs a secure, quiet rider. Has three beautiful smooth gaits, good ground manners and loves to be groomed. No buck or dirt in him, can be forward if the rider is nervous, so experienced riders only. Good out on the trails as well.
SOLD
Mia is a stunning 7 year old OTTB standing just under 16hh. This young mare has the potential to do anything you ask of her. Well schooled on the flat at all gaits, she moves beautifully and in a frame. She is started over fences and will jump a small course, but definitely needs more schooling over fences.
She is healthy and sound, and up to date on vaccinations, deworming & teeth. Good for the vet and farrier and great to trailer. She hasn't been clipped at all, but she is good to bathe. She ties/cross-ties.
She is also good to hack and has mostly been ridden with a group, but has gone short distances on her own with no issues. She has been fine to turn out alone or in a group and always seems to adjust well to new settings.
She originally came from Ontario and was raced 3-4 times. She has had 2 months of training here at Reaching Strides and can be seen. Owner is asking $5000, negotiable to the right home, and may also potentially consider a long term lease to the right situation.
SOLD
Stormy is a 6 year old buckskin Quarter Horse gelding (no papers). He stands at 14.2hh and is lightly started under saddle, W/T/C, and will need further training. Very quiet, easy to work with, willing, in-your-pocket type personality. He is used to 24/7 turnout, barefoot, and just needs hay - a very easy keeper. He has great ground manners, trailers, ties, is up to date on everything and is good for the farrier. Will make a super trail horse, show pony, etc. - just needs more hours. A great mount for a rider looking to work with a smart and willing young horse.
Congratulations to Dianne on her purchase of Stormy!
SOLD
Nikita is an 11 year old, 14.3hh grade Paint mare. She is black with sabino markings. Nikita has been one of our school/competition horses for 7 years for intermediate riders and up. She's a lovely mare who has schooled up to 2'9", but does best at 2'6". She is a take-you-around-the-course type, lands her leads, has done many shows (mostly in the hunter ring), has great form over fences, carries herself well on the flat, and is pretty much a push-button with the right rider. She is well schooled and requires a soft and gentle rider as she is sensitive to the aids. She is sound and healthy, though she does have a minor dust allergy - but as long as she doesn't get into any dusty hay you'll never see it. Up to date on everything, trailers well, clips, ties, etc. Great on the trails with other horses. She gets worried on her own so is not a horse that can be kept by herself. This girl will make a good step up for someone who is coming off a pony but is not ready yet for a big horse.
SOLD
Honey is a 6 year old Mini/Welsh pony mare who stands at about 9.1 or 9.2hh. She has been ridden bareback and started in harness, but not been hooked to a cart. She's a total sweetheart that loves to be loved - totally relaxed, nothing bothers her. She will make a super pet, cart pony, lead line, or short stirrup mount with some training. She's had 1 foal and is an excellent mommy as well.
Congrats to Paula Hart on her purchase of our precious little angel Honey - that one was a hard one to let go! We know you'll love her as much as we have!
SOLD
Norman is a 16.1hh, 8 year old Thoroughbred gelding; a very handsome boy with tons of personality. He's an in your pocket type, loves to be a goofball, easy keeper, up to date on everything, good with vet and farrier, loads, clips etc. Suitable for intermediate riders and up as a flat mount. He is trained over fences, but is more suited to a flat career. Would make a great schoolie or mount for a mature rider, or someone looking for a pleasure mount. He's healthy and sound, sensible, and loving, loves attention, is good to hack and loves trail rides. Loving home a must.
Congrats Tracey Breen on her purchase of Norman - it has been her dream to own her very own Thoroughbred, and we are so lucky to have been able to help her in making that dream come true!
SOLD
Tinkerbelle is a 14 year old, 12hh grey Welsh mare. She came out of a very abused home, but is a sweet pony who was used in our school for driving lessons. Voice command trained in harness, an absolute joy to drive. Need an experienced handler on the ground, but can be driven by anyone. She would make an ideal pleasure driving pony for an experienced person. Easy keeper, sweet personality, UTD on everything.
Congrats to Wayne Mury on his new ownership of Tinkerbelle. We are so grateful to have found such a great home for her!
SOLD
Crimson Shadow is a 7 year old, 14.1hh bay pony gelding. He is 100% healthy and sound, has great feet and legs on him, and has never taken a lame step in his life. Shadow is the second-born son of our stallion Santana, and he has the same sweet personality and great athletic abilities as his sire. He has competed in the hunters up to 2'6" with an intermediate rider and schooled 2'9" at home.
He has some show experience, is great to trailer, ties, bathes, and is good with the farrier and vet. This fellow would be suitable for advanced beginners and up. He has three great gaits, is very brave over fences, and is good to hack out.
Congrats to Danyelle Daigle of New Brunswick on her purchase of Shadow!
SOLD
Spartan (Family Alliance) is a stunning 9 year old, 16.1hh bay gelding. Spartan is an OTTB that has had reschooling for the hunter/jumper/eventing ring. He has been in many clinics in hunter/dressage as well as eventing/cross country and has some show experience.
This gelding has personality plus and is an in-your-pocket puppy dog. He is great with the vet and farrier, loads, bathes, clips pretty well (he's alittle touchy around his ears), ties, etc. Spartan has a super presence and is a nice solid build. I am told he's got superb eventing bloodlines. He is going well under saddle, in a frame at all gaits, but does need a strong rider and will need some work balancing at the canter. He has his changes, has jumped up to 2'6" thus far, and is very brave over fences. He moves beautifully and well enough that he could also excel in the dressage ring. He's a very versatile boy.
Congrats to Amanda Glenn of Alberta on her purchase of Spartan!
SOLD
Crimson Santana is our 1997 bay tobiano Paint stallion. Santana is a fantastic pony hunter sire; he stands a solid 14.2hh and has all the great qualities one should look for in a stallion. Santana's main discipline is Hunter which he absolutely loves and excels at. He spent his first Hunter over fences season on the Nova Scotia Hunter Jumper Association Circuit receiving honours for ranking second in the province during that first exciting season. Santana is not only one of our resident Foals, but is also used in our school program for some of our intermediate and advanced riders, and to teach riders how to longe a horse. He has also had some training at liberty. He not only excels as a sire and in the show ring, but he is also a fantastic teacher.
Mighty Moose is a 2001 chestnut Miniature stallion. He stands 38" tall and is the sweetest, most adorable (yet manly) man in the barn. He is best friends with our Paint stallion Santana and is actually the boss. He is not registered as his dam was not a registered Mini, but he's got super conformation, fantastic hooves, great personality and beautiful movement, and he was super easy to train as he is extremely intelligent.
Congrats to Kailin Howard on her purchase of Santana and Moose!
SOLD
Meet Lady, a 15 year old Standardbred mare who stands a solid 15.2hh. She was used for the past four years as a trail mount. Very easy keeper, great ground manners, great under saddle; usually goes out on the trails in just a rope halter, and has also had some training in the ring. Nice trot and canter with very little pacing. She can be a little testy with strange horses, but other than that is a wonderful mount that loves the trails and enjoys every bit of her time out. Up to date on everything, great with vet and farrier. This gal would make a super husband horse and trail buddy for anyone. Looking for a loving forever home.
Congrats to Meggie Mooring, we hope you enjoy her as much as we did!
SOLD
Woody is a 5 year old, 17hh, black Clydesdale gelding. He would make the perfect trail partner for someone looking for a quiet (pretty much bombproof already) young buddy. Woody has had about 1 month of training under saddle, loves to please, and, although he is a bit on the lazy side, once he gets going he's got three beautiful gaits on him. This is one of the gentlest giants I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
Congratulations to Woody's new owner, Karla Eisener Gaetz!
SOLD
Toffee, registered as Twistin' Junior Toffee, is a 6 year old breeding stock Paint gelding who stands just over 15hh. Lovely mover, superb conformation, loads of potential, super jump. I'm told he has superb reining bloodlines.
Trained under english tack, competed in the x-rail and 2' Hunters last season always placing very well. Has jumped courses up to 2'3". Great to hack out as well.
Would make a nice horse for an experienced rider that is capable of finishing his training. He's wonderful if he's ridden consistantly but has had quite a break as we have too many horses and he's been left on the back burner, which is reflected in his price.
Congrats to Laura and Shelley Porter of Sydney area, Cape Breton on their purchase of Toffee!
SOLD
Ollie was here for training from PEI. He has been sold and now belongs to Heather and David MacKenzie of Port Hood.
SOLD
Laney (Dance To The Blues) is a gorgeous registered Thoroughbred mare. Standing at 16hh, she is a nicely put together, sensible mare, is very well mannered on the ground and is great for farrier/vet. She is perfectly healthy and sound; ties, clips, trailers, bathes, etc. She is good to hack out.
Laney is a hot blooded chestnut mare, she will definitley need an experienced rider. She has been well schooled on the flat, goes in a frame, does her changes and is a beautiful ride - extremely athletic. She is very willing to learn but can also be a handful if she is not ridden exactly right, with a light hand. She competed at several hunter/jumper competitions last season and it seems her forte is definitely in the jumper ring where she absolutley excels. Jumps courses up to 2'6" but is ready to move to the next level with the right rider.
Congrats to Jill Doll from Ontario on her purchase of Laney - we wish you many wonderful years together!
SOLD
Simba is a 5 year old Appaloosa/Belgian cross gelding. Sweet, sweet personality, in-your-pocket type. Going well under saddle, now being used for advanced beginners and up in the school. He's quiet, has 3 lovely gaits, very light on his feet. Easy keeper, up to date on everything, perfectly healthy and sound. Just coming off a part lease. This guy has an exceptional personality and will make an awesome beginner horse with some more miles. Great on the trails, super gentleman to have around the barn.
Congratulations to Lindsey Elizabeth Wallace on her purchase of Simba!

Teddy has been with us since he was a weanling and is very dear to our hearts; we are offering him for sale to a great home only where he will have the companionship of other horses or donkeys. He is about 13.3hh, brown in colour, the sweetest boy you will ever meet. Loves to be loved, loves attention, is great with the vet and farrier; he leads, ties and has been sat on. He will make a wonderful companion for another horse, and is great to keep other animals out of the pasture etc.
Congratulations to Annie May, Colin and Dawn Moser on their purchase of Ted!
SOLD
RSEC offers for sale Doc's Bold Ruler aka Robbie. Robbie is a stunningly gorgeous Appaloosa/TB gelding - he's a beautiful solid buckskin in colour, a grandson of Secretariat, has beautiful conformation and stands 15.2hh.
Robbie has been trained and ridden by RSEC's coach and requires an experienced rider. He's competed in the hunters up to 2'9", has great form over fences and goes very well on the flat. Only reason for selling is a lack of time. He would make a fantastic event horse as he excels both on the flat and over fences.
Congrats to Amy Sangster of Truro on her purchase of Robbie!
SOLD

Nickels is a 10 year old, black 14hh Percheron/Arab mare. Used in our school for 5 years, she is well schooled flat/over fences. Very smooth gaits, competed Bronze level hunters up to 2'6" with lots of success. She is also trained western, has been used for Rider Level testing, 4-H, and has tons of show experience! She excels in all her flat classes and also does well in western pleasure. Suitable for intermediate beginners and up. She can be a bit pushy on the ground if you give her an inch, but has great manners if you keep her in line. This mare would be a great match for anyone looking for a solid mount for a school pony, trail pony, show pony etc. Good to hack out, good with vet, farrier, trailering, ties, clips, bathes, etc. Healthy and sound, UTD on everything. Very easy keeper, always been barefoot. Solid enough to carry a small adult. Downsizing the herd is the only reason for selling this lovely mare.
SOLD
Crimson Pride is a 6 year old Paint gelding who stands just shy of 14.2hh. Great feet and legs on him, super atheletic, very talented. Trained english, jumps, ties, trailers, clips, bathes etc. Superb barn manners, not at all spooky, very quiet well mannered boy no matter what you throw at him.
Behaves the same under saddle whether he's at home, at a show or out for a hack. Ideal pony for a young rider looking for their first mount (Intermediate Beginners and up), moving up to a large, or someone looking for a wonderful, kind pony for whichever discipline.
His training thus far has been focused towards Hunter. Shown up to 2'6" in his previous season, schooled 2'9" at home. Superb form over fences, loves to jump, very keen and willing! UTD on everything!

Shania is a registered black and white tovero Paint mare with one blue eye. She is 10 years old and stands 15hh. Registered name is Miss Dial It. Proven broodmare; just weaned her first filly about a month ago and is a fantastic mom. Shania is one of our best beginner school horses. Trained both western and english, very well mannered and very quiet. Great to hack out and trail ride, super in the ring, trailers, clips, bathes, good with farrier and vet. UTD on everything! This mare is a very reliable, safe mount suitable for beginners and up. Has had some arthritis in her front right, but not an issue under light work. Looking for a forever home, preferably with other horses and where she will be used as a trail horse or beginner school horse.
